The primary purpose of the project is to resurface the road.
Wooley Road, between Victoria Avenue and Rose Avenue
Project is scheduled to be completed in mid June. All dates subject to change.
Monday through Friday between 7 AM and 6 PM. There may be some evening and night work.
One lane will be open in each direction on streets under construction. There will be very short periods of no access to allow for the movement of construction material, vehicles and personnel. Please remember to “slow for the cone zone.”
All businesses along the construction area will be open and accessible. Alternate access will be provided, if needed.
Wooley Road median work is continuing through March 22. At that time, there will be a break in construction activity to accommodate the upcoming Ventura County Railway crossings improvement project on Wooley Road at Richmond Avenue, at Commercial Avenue, east of Five Points by the car wash, and on Commercial Avenue north of Wooley Road.
Railroad work is tentatively scheduled to begin on April 26 and last for three consecutive weekends. Once construction is completed on the railroad crossings, the City will resume the resurfacing project on Wooley Road between Victoria Avenue and Rose Avenue. This work is anticipated to last from mid-May to mid-June. Please note that all dates are subject to change. Thank you for your continued patience as we move forward with the Wooley Road resurfacing project. For additional information, please call 385-8136 or visit OxnardNews.org.
